Originally conceived in 2004 by former Formula 1 designer Trevor Harris, the Pflueger Racing Trophy Truck was built by Alan Pflueger's racing team for the unlimited category of desert racing.
It is powered by a 455 cubic-inch all-aluminium Chevrolet V8, producing 790 bhp and 685 lb ft. The truck's design includes several unique features, including a rear-mounted engine, and fully independent rear suspension. These aimed to reduce weight, improve handling, and increase traction when compared to a traditional front-engined solid-axled trophy truck.[1]
