Swedish driver Kenneth Hansen switched to the Citroën C4 T16 for the 2006 European Rallycross Championship, following six consecutive titles with the Citroën Xsara. While he would be beaten in 2006 and 2007, finishing second both times to Lars Larsson (Škoda Fabia T16), 2008 would see Hansen race the C4 to his final championship victory.
Hansen continued to compete in the ERX until the end of the 2010 season, being partnered that year by a debuting Liam Doran. The British competitor praised how gentle and easy the car was to drive, and he would go on to achieve two podiums and a win; these placed him third in the championship standings, only behind teammate Hansen and winner Sverre Isachsen.
The KHM Citroën is powered by a 2-litre XU7 engine, fitted with a Garrett GIK turbocharger, producing around 520 bhp / 530 lb ft. Combined with its 1,200 kg weight, four wheel drive system, and Sadev 6-speed sequential transmission, it accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.4 seconds.[1][2][3][4]
