Swedish driver Kenneth Hansen became European Rallycross champion a total of 14 times, earning 7 of those titles behind the wheels of various Citroën Xsaras. The final evolution, the Citroën Xsara 4x4 T16 (used from 2003 to 2005), achieved podium results in 80% of the races it was entered in.
Hansen replaced the Xsara with the Citroën C4 for the 2006 season.
