Revision as of 12:34, 3 August 2019
After his decision to make a return to rallycross, 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg entered 2013's European Rallycross Championship with his privately built Citroën DS3 WRX. It is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged engine made by Pipo Moteurs capable of reaching the power output of 600bhp and 900Nm of torque. It is also fitted with Cosworth ECUs, UNIC gearbox, Reiger dampers and carbon fibre panels.
With the DS3 WRX, Solberg became the champion of the inaugural FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2014 with 8 podiums and 5 wins. He eventually defended his driver's championship in 2015.
DiRT Rally
The DS Automobiles DS 3 is a Rallycross Supercar featured in DiRT Rally, added to the game with the World RX Multiplayer Update. Its default setup has a looser rear suspension than the rest of the Supercars lineup, which makes it hard to control when cornering.
