Ken Block drove the Ford Fiesta GYM3 in Gymkhana THREE, Part 2; Ultimate Playground; l'Autodrome, France.[1] The Fiesta was outfitted by Swedish constructors Olsbergs MSE with a 2,000cc Duratec engine, a MakTrak six-speed gearbox, AP Racing brakes, and Öhlins suspension. While it can produce up to 838bhp, it has been detuned to 641bhp in the interest of usable torque band; even then, it only takes two seconds to go from 0-to-60mph.[2][3]
While it is based on OMSE's contemporary rallycross supercar, the GYM3 Fiesta is mechanically different to its racing cousins, with a front-mounted cooling package, electronic "paddle shift" gear change, and 5-door bodywork (as the 3-door model was not being sold in America at the time). Although it does not have a traditional racing record, Block drove the car to 2nd position in all of the three Gymkhana Grid events he entered it in.[4]
