M-Sport's Mk II Ford Fiesta R5 was presented to the world as the VIP car at the 2019 Ypres Rally, as a replacement for the team's wildly successful R5 rally car. The Mk II made its competitive debut in the same year at Neste Rally Finland (in the WRC 2 Pro category).

Per R5 regulations, the Fiesta uses a turbocharged 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine with a 32 mm air restrictor, producing 290 bhp and 475 Nm at 4,000 rpm. A newly designed Sadev gearbox, alongside new suspension components and geometry, save weight and improve traction and stability.[1][2]

DiRT Rally 2.0[]

“Built as the replacement for its hugely successful predecessor, the Ford Fiesta R5, the MK2 is designed and built by M-sport in the UK, making use of the latest iteration of the Ford Fiesta ST-Line body shell. The car features a new engine and chassis, alongside a notably aggressive anti-lag system.”

The car was initially added to the "My Team" Garages of players who competed in any of the qualifying events for the second season of the DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series, to coincide with update 1.16.[3] Players who did not qualify were still able to drive the MKII in all modes outside of "My Team", and in January 2021, the MKII was unlocked for all players to purchase in My Team Garage menu.[4][5]
