As with many Group B cars (that had been banned from stage rallying), the Lancia Delta S4 would find a home in privateer rallycross competition. S4s would be driven by the likes of Bruno Saby, Jarmo Lähteenmäki, Matti Alamäki and Paul Châteaux[1].
