British driver Richard Burns would take some of his first steps into professional rally driving behind the wheel of a race-prepped Peugeot 205 GTI. The car, purchased by cohort David Williams, allowed Burns entry to the 1990 Peugeot Challenge; he would go on to win the championship that year.

DiRT Rally 2.0[edit | edit source]
“Peugeot first entered the 205 GTI in 1984. This new car was FWD and powered by a 175bhp four cylinder engine, offering more than enough punch for the compact 'supermini'. The 205 GTI saw varying levels of success in the Group A class.”
