Nicknamed "The Flying Frog", the Peugeot 307 WRC won a total of three WRC rallies. These were the 54th and 55th Neste Rallies of Finland, and the 2nd Rally of Japan. However, transmission issues to the start of the 2004 season, and PSA's withdrawal from top-level rallying in 2005, sealed the fate of the 307.
The 307 was involved in a fatal accident on Stage 15 of the 2005 Wales Rally GB. Driver Markko Märtin crashed heavily into a tree, killing his co-driver Micheal Park. The tree where he died bears a plaque in memorial of him.
Colin McRae DiRT[]
“The Peugeot 307 is an old favourite because of its quick gear-changes and its ability to grip out of the corners. It's all very fast, which is great, but the downside is that it doesn't like too much knocking around. If you like hugging walls and Armco, I might give this one a miss.”
— Travis Pastrana
The Peugeot 307 is a 4WD-class car in Colin McRae DiRT.
