Introduced back in 2018, the Renault Clio R.S. RX is the result of collaborative development between Guerlain Chicherit's rallycross team, GC Kompetition and French engineering firm Fors Performance under the GFors banner. The Clio R.S. RX has made regular appearances in the FIA European Rallycross Championship and French's national rallycross championship of the same year, piloted by many drivers including Chicherit himself, gained favourable results at almost every event it raced in.

In 2019, GCK fielded two Clio R.S. RX for their junior team program, dubbed the GCK Academy in the FIA World Rallycross Championship alongside the main GC Kompetition team for a full season participation with RX2 graduates Cyril Raymond and Guillaume De Ridder behind the wheels of the Clios.
