Rhys Millen (son of Rod Millen) took the PM580 - loosely based on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe - to the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, with the goal of beating Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima in his Monster Sport SX4 Hillclimb Special. However, a spin on the way up left him with a time of 11:06.208, nearly a minute adrift of the Japanese driver. He then returned in 2011, placing second with a time of 10:09.242[1][2].
DiRT 3[]
“The Rhys Millen Racing PM580 was created to challenge the Unlimited Pikes Peak record in 2010. It has a 775 brake horsepower Hyundai engine and a unique body shell constructed from carbon fibre. This gives it one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class.”
